I spent ten unforgettable days in Tokyo, diving headfirst into an adventure without a strict itinerary. It turned out to be the best way to experience this mesmerizing city.

“So, how was Japan?” “Japan was incredible, truly incredible.” Though this response might sound cliché, there’s a reason everyone finds Japan so captivating.

The Allure of Japan

Everything about Japan is fascinating! Words like "cool" and "awesome" barely scratch the surface.

For a woman, Japan feels like paradise. Picture living in a place where you don’t have to endure the male gaze, where nobody invades your space on public transport, and where women have their own train cars during rush hours. Respect is woven into daily interactions; people bow to greet you or to say thank you. Despite Tokyo’s staggering population of 37 million, the city feels like a serene bubble bath, even in the busiest crowds.

Impressions and Memories

  • Supermarkets: They’re an invitation to indulge in a feast for the senses, making you want to try everything.

  • Green Tea: I drank more of it than ever before.

  • Craftsmanship: I left more dedicated to my craft, inspired by Japan's cultural emphasis on continuous improvement and humility.

  • Fitting Rooms: You remove your shoes and use a protective veil while trying on clothes.

  • Museums: They offer private spaces for those needing a sensory break.

  • Happy Dogs: I've never seen more content and well-groomed dogs.

  • Perfectionism: Japan teaches you to accept imperfections because, despite your best efforts, you will make small “mistakes.”

  • Dining Etiquette: Mixing wasabi with soy sauce in the same bowl is a faux pas.

Personal Growth

Japan inspired me to strive for personal betterment. The culture, the people, and the experience left a lasting impact on me, making me want to become a better version of myself.
