Storytelling
This skill grew on me, or perhaps it was dormant my whole life until I picked up a pen and paper and six months later, finished drafting my first book. Just like that. No background in writing, no guidance whatsoever, just following a calling.
It is obvious that I love life, although I have not always felt that way. I am fascinated by human behaviour and pattern recognition. I love to untangle difficult situations and to really see what is happening in one circumstance or another.
I like to write through a wide lens, focusing on two levels. The past, which in my case has been dark, heavy and full of lessons. The present, which is light, full of joy, gratitude, love and hope. And naturally, there is always an outlook on building a solid foundation now for the future.
What brings unity to this work is the fact that at one point in my life, I stopped believing these phenomenal things I named in the present would show themselves to me, only to reach a place where it feels like the sun is officially on my street and here to stay.
My writing is cheeky and real. It is full of lessons, sometimes spicy depending on what moment pushes me to write. But overall, it is hopeful, clear and vulnerable. When I write, I do not hide, which is what makes my pieces relatable.
