Why do we fall in love with musicians?

Well, because of the music! Plus, passion is incredibly attractive.
However, we often romanticise what dating a musician would be like. We imagine always waking up to the sound of music, with the chords they play transforming into acts of love and kindness. We think that since they are talented in one area, they must excel in everything else.
Perhaps we associate music with fame, money, and security, but that’s not a realistic expectation.

Honestly, the musicians and artists I know personally are complex and sensitive souls. They are usually so immersed in their art that they don't have much to give outside their relationship with their craft. They find happiness in the appreciation of their work. For many, success doesn't come overnight; they need to work hard to actually be able to sell their work.
In a way, you could say that they are in love with themselves and the creative process. Falling in love with artists can be dangerous, and my mum warned me about this since I was young.
Being a musician, or an artist in general, is a lifelong commitment. It can be more enduring than a marriage.

I used to crush on musicians often, but these days, before making any move, I ponder. Why? Because I've started working on art myself. Some artists fell in love with me too, which made me a muse and boosted my ego. Some created art inspired by my energy and beauty. Cool! But if you don’t create your own work as a beautiful woman, you'll end up living in the shadow of someone else’s creative journey. If things go south, you're left with some good stories in which you are not the main character.
I think I used to fall for artists because I was a blocked artist myself. Now that I'm not, I can entertain myself better than many can. It's a big fantasy to fall in love with an artist and make art together all day and night, but the reality can be quite different.
